    Pleasantville Home Care is a state-wide agency of non-medical home care dedicated to providing exceptional and affordable service to anyone of any age. Pleasantville Home Care caregivers are available every day of the year, to those in need – including seniors, expectant moms, veterans, those suffering from sports injuries, debilitating illnesses, and more. Founded in 2019, Pleasantville Home Care’s headquarters is in Milwaukee, WI.
  • What services does Pleasantville Home Care provide?
    Pleasantville Home Care provides a wide range of non-medical services, from housekeeping, personal care and companionship, to meal preparation, transportation, and help coordinating medical appointments. We offer both short- and long-term care. Our local office will work with you to develop a customized care plan that includes services specific to your needs.
  • What cities/counties do you provide services?

  • Can I change or discontinue the services I’m receiving?
    You can change the number or type of service we provide you or your loved one whenever it's necessary. We understand the care situation can quickly change, so we're as flexible as possible with your care. Plus, you're never bound to a long-term contract, so you can discontinue your relationship with Pleasantville Home Care at your discretion.
  • Who does Pleasantville Home Care serve?
    Pleasantville Home Care provides services to people of all ages, including seniors, expectant mothers, new mothers, children, veterans, and those afflicted with debilitating conditions or illnesses.
  • Does Pleasantville Home Care care for people in hospitals, nursing homes and assisted living facilities?"
    Yes, we provide services wherever you need us. In our experience, facilities welcome additional help to keep their residents safe and happy because they don’t always have resources or staff to support 1:1 care.
  • What happens if a client is admitted to a hospital or other care facility?
    We will seize cares until the client is discharged. We will to provide the services according the client’s wishes.
  • Does Medicare or Medicaid cover Pleasantville Home Care services?
    Yes. Today, Medicare and Medicaid covers the cost of non-medical home care. However, there are some exceptions to this rule.
  • Do I pay the caregiver directly (private-pay)?
    No. You (or an authorized representative) are only invoiced after the completion of services. Usually, this happens weekly. You will never be asked to pay caregivers directly. And you'll never be asked to pay an additional fee to any employee.
  • Will Pleasantville Home Care examine my insurance benefits to verify coverage prior to starting services?
    Yes. Pleasantville Home Care is accustomed to working with insurance companies. With your approval, we will check your insurance benefits and let you know if home care services are covered. Some clients have what is known as Long Term Care insurance. This type of insurance is structured to provide coverage for our services.
  • Do I need a physician's authorization for your services?
    Yes. You do need pre-authorization, pre-qualification, certification or even a prescription for Pleasantville Home Care 's services.
  • What are the credentials of caregivers?
    All of our caregivers go through an exhaustive reference and national criminal background check. Many of our caregivers have multiple years of experience in patient care and expertise in the certain areas, such as Alzheimer’s, Parkinson’s and cancer patient care. All are certified in CPR and First Aid. Pleasantville Home Care caregivers are bonded and insured employees.
  • How are caregivers assigned to clients? Will my family member always receive care from the same caregiver?
    We match clients’ specific needs, personalities and requests to the skills and expertise of caregivers to find the right fit. Our goal is to establish a long-term caregiving relationship with your loved one. Should your family want to request another caregiver for any reason, we'll search for a match until your family is happy. We understand that a strong rapport and trust with a caregiver is vital to a successful home care experience.
  • How quickly can caregivers be assigned?
    We can provide a caregiver immediately. Typically, we can start service in three to five days. In emergency situations we can start care in just a few hours.
  • Can I help choose the caregiver and/or conduct an interview in advance?
    Yes. Pleasantville Home Care will happily arrange a meeting with a preselected caregiver. Clients are free to request a different caregiver for any reason at any time.
  • How can I verify a shift was completed?
    Pleasantville Home Care uses several tools to track our caregivers. First, we use simple timesheets filled out by each caregiver. Then, we use a combination of Internet-based solutions (EVV) to verify time and attendance. This allows you to have a written record of services within the home where care is provided. And we can provide written verification at any time. Also, our itemized invoices are always sent after services are complete. This lets you ask any questions about time or date of care, and it allows us to make any schedule adjustments before your invoice is sent.
  • When are time sheet due?
    Time sheets must be submitted every week without error by 12pm Tuesday for payment in the next week payment cycle. PleasantVille Home Care requires a 2-day hold of time sheets for review and verification and 2 days for processing all electronic deposits and paper checks (direct deposit is required after 30 days of employment).
  • What is the after-hours phone number?

  • How can I obtain paystubs or any verification?
    Pleasantville can send a link within one day’s time for you to have access to your paystubs. In an event you are not able to print them please send a text to the after-hours phone number and you will be able to pick them up in two (2) business days and/or mailed out to you. All verifications forms need to be dropped off during normal business hours and can be completed within two (2) business day.
